Be careful to carry these colors throughout the entire flipbook. Use different colors to represent chromosomes, centrioles, spindle fibers, centromeres, nuclear membrane, and cell membrane. Also keep in mind that you have a limit on the number of cards you may use. As you draw, keep successive drawings side by side to achieve flow. Each successive picture should vary only slightly to obtain smooth flow through all the steps of mitosis. (To do this, you may want to make one drawing on paper and trace the outline onto the cards from prophase to anaphase first) 5. Position your drawing of the cell membrane in the same location on each card. Draw each step on plain paper/cards/white boards 3. Your parent cell must have four chromosomes. Use anything you deem necessary for this project. Imagine and emphasize the movement of chromosomes in your series of drawings. Mitosis does not happen in static frames. When you flip the pages of the book the "animation" should be smooth. To make a good flip book, each successive picture should vary a tiny bit from the preceding picture.
